Two decades of growing, harvesting, and supplying India's most versatile bamboo species
We started with a single plantation in 2026 — a patch of land and the belief that Bambusa balcooa could transform the way India builds, crafts, and farms. Today, our bamboo feeds construction sites, artisan workshops, and eco-conscious designers across the country.
Balcooa bamboo is a clump-forming, giant bamboo species indigenous to India, Nepal, and Bangladesh. Known for its thick-walled culms, rapid growth, and exceptional tensile strength, it is one of the most commercially important bamboo species in South Asia.
Our clumps regenerate after harvest — no replanting, zero soil disturbance, year after year.
Leaves, offcuts, and chips are sold or composted. Nothing leaves the plantation as waste.
We work directly with our plantation workers — no middlemen, fair wages, transparent pricing.
Bamboo poles: Full-length culms (4m–12m), smoke-treated or chemical-treated, in diameters from 5cm to 15cm. Used in construction, scaffolding, furniture, and fencing.
Bamboo leaves: Sun-dried Balcooa leaves in 10kg and 25kg bales. Used in mulching, composting, thatching, and livestock fodder. Rich in silica and organic matter.
Split and processed bamboo: Machine-split strips, mat boards, and half-round sections for handicrafts, baskets, and eco-packaging.
"Every pole we sell is a tree not cut. Every leaf we dry is soil enriched. That's the arithmetic we live by."
